Dog Offleash Area
Flooded/Drainage Issues
No
New
Hi, this is regarding off-leash dog area. I know, itâs just the dog area so who cares right? i understand this is a mountainside, and itâs Oregon = wet. But just 40-feet in, past the gate and concrete pad is mud. When itâs not summer thereâs almost ALWAYS a huge muck pit. Why is this? Is it a drainage from another road or trail? I would think that gravel or some sort of culvert makes more sense than putting more wood chips on top of the muck. Or is there water leaking from an underground pipe or an underground spring? There has to be a better solution than mud and bark. Can you please also let me know how I can get a response from Parks? thanks

But water management on trails is not a new thing - it just isnât happening here. Right next to the new park maintenance headquarters being constructed is a busy dog area.
